Hey everyone, this is a rough design of a character I decided to refine and add color to. Please excuse the lack of a background as my main focus was the character design only, and not a completed illustration.

Lately I have been trying to find some new inspiration so I have turned towards american comic books for some new material. I guess I unexpectedly transferred some of that across in this picture, especially the painting.

She would be a sci fi character but I haven't come up with a backstory or anything. Right now I'm more concerned about designing characters based off themes instead. In any case, the character would also have a hooded jacket that she would wear, but this is what would be underneath. I'm happy with the way things turned out. Other than that she is more buff than I usually draw girls, I like how the anatomy came out, especially the legs. Hopefully I will continue to refine this character and make tweaks here and there, and next time include the jacket too. This is sort of an evolution of the character I did awhile ago that you can check in my portfolio.

Most of the work was done in painter (sketch, lines, painting), and brought into photoshop to do some light dodging.
